Surrender of Seasons
It is no secret to those who know me. I have a love affair with summer. The early morning sunrises, long days, late sunsets and warm nights to walk outside and watch how the lightning bugs put a twinkle in the atmosphere, or watching a powerful display of heat lightning in the distance,
Ordinary to Extraordinary
Welcome to October. Besides the much anticipated Pumpkin Spice Latte, football, and cozy nights with fires, October is also the month I became engaged many years ago. Steve asked me to marry him on an October day in Waxahachie, Texas, while we were still in college.

Gather the Scattered
The dog days of summer were upon us, and temperatures were at record highs. I was looking for something cool to do with my kids, when a dear friend offered the use of their pool while they were at work. I invited my sister and her kids to join us. We set out for a day of fun in the sun!
