The Lord Will Prevail
Let’s cut to the chase.
This is a huge week. Tomorrow’s events will forever be stamped in the pages of American history books. Our country is divided. Troops are deployed. Plans are in place. Theories are swirling. But Jesus is still on the throne. So,
Instead of worry; worship.
Instead of panic; praise.
Instead of fear, faith.
No matter the outcome, ‘the government rests upon His shoulders, and of the increase of his government and peace THERE IS NO END’ (Isaiah 9:6-7).
The Lord will PREVAIL. He always has, and He always will. So there is no reason to get our panties in a bunch, ladies. Sure, we could be looking at many changes . . . but my God is still securely on His throne and if He is secure, then so am I. Yes. The enemy is certainly busy, but Heaven is busier still, and has a far better track record.
Daniel was a man who was faced with mandates from government and how did he respond? On his knees. He prayed, fasted and remained steadfast to the Lord. Even among hungry lions, the Lord prevailed.
Elisha and his servant had eyes to see an angelic army sent to defend the people of God (2 Kings 6). Despite what the odds looked like in the natural, the Lord prevailed.
And let us not forget, that just when weeping women approached the Christ’s tomb, angels were again present to say, “He is not here, He is risen!” Though the mobs thought they had killed him, and the Sanhedrin felt that their job was finished, the Lord prevailed.
Jeremiah 5:22 says:
“‘Should you not fear me?’ declares the Lord. ‘Should you not tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross. The waves my roll, but they cannot prevail, they may roar, but they cannot cross it.’”
Even the sea must obey the Lord’s command!
“You can make many plans in a man’s heart, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs 19:21
We can try to order our steps. Whether that refers to our own futures or meal planning for the week, God can redirect us at any time. You think He has tomorrow under His care? Yep. The Lord will prevail.
So, remember,
Instead of worry, worship.
Instead of panic, praise.
Instead of fear, faith.
The Lord will prevail.
